Justin Chin, 6th Degree
Justin Chin is a 6th Degree International Instructor and Examiner.
He is currently the head instructor of the Thoroughbred Balwyn and Canterbury branches based in Melbourne.
Additionally, Justin is currently the Secretary/Treasurer of the National Organization for ITF in Australia, United ITF Taekwon Australia (inc)
Justin was recently tested and promoted to 6th Degree in an extensive Black Belt grading, in December 2018.
In 2019, he was appointed as Tournament Director for the ITF National Body, United ITF Taekwon-Do Australia inc. Justin has overseen a number of State Championships in his home city of Melbourne. He has also been a Tournament Committee member for the Arnold Classic Taekwondo Championships for several years.
Justin has been practicing Taekwon-Do for over 22 years and teaching for over 15 years. Justin started Taekwon-Do at North Wellington Taekwon-Do club in New Zealand, he then trained in Hobart, Tasmania. Now based in Melbourne, he trains under Master Michael Muleta (8th Degree).
He has competed at the 2012 (Canada), 2014 (Italy) and 2016 (England) ITF World Championships. Justin has won multiple ITF national and state Black Belt championships.
Justin has trained with Grandmaster Choi Jung Hwa (9th Degree) at several International Instructor Course seminars which included Grandmaster Choi on the grading panel for his 5th degree grading.
He regularly attends tournaments as a competitor, coach and umpire as well as keeping up to date with current technical skills and teaching methodology by attending Master Classes and International Seminars.
